I Spent 2 Years Alone Building a Huge Log Cabin With No Experience. During this time I faced a challenge so big it forced me to move everything. New neighbors arrived with a lot of noise, and suddenly filming my peaceful cabin videos became almost impossible. The situation kept getting worse, until I couldn’t build there anymore. So I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: I moved the entire log cabin to a new property. How did I do it all by myself? In this video, I share the whole two-year journey — Summarized into one story Hello, my name is Matt Jacobs. At 20, I decided to start my dream off-grid log cabin DIY project in the middle of a forest — entirely alone, using hand tools. Over two years, I built the traditional log cabin walls, the roof structure, and then found and bought a new piece of land, to which I moved the entire cabin and rebuilt it from start to finish. After finishing the roof and installing the windows, the next phase is interior work: doors, flooring, kitchen, getting a dog, and much more!
