What happens is that many of these companies have not claimed their Google Business Profile or have not optimized properly. So the base service you can offer is to help them claim and optimize it. In terms of how to actually do that, you learn everything from Free Google training https://events.withgoogle.com/mydigitalworkshop/online-training/ . Please keep in mind that even if the service might seem simple to you, there are companies who don't have the skills to do it themselves or don't want to spend time learning about it, but could genuinely benefit from it. They just want the result. After you provide the base service, you can guide them to their Google Business profile from in their social media accounts or any other legitimate source of traffic they may have or that you can get them. From there assuming they are happy with your work, you can provide any other services that you have skills for and are useful to them. This video is part of a personal challenge where I test something new that I could learn quickly — helping local businesses optimize their Google Business Profiles. This is just one example; you can offer any service that fits your skills and interests. I’m simply sharing my own experience and what I learned along the way. The strategies, calls, and examples I show are ideas you can adapt and improve. You might charge differently, reach out by email instead of calls, or find your own approach. What matters most is how you communicate, build trust, and genuinely help clients — not spamming or pressuring anyone. Like any freelance service, results will vary. Some clients may not be interested or able to pay, and that’s completely normal. I focused this video on finding opportunities, reaching out, and explaining the service rather than doing the full technical updates, since those are already covered in Google’s free training. Delivering the service takes time, but you’ll get faster with experience.
