Springtime means it's time to refill the freezer starting with rainbow trout! Griz, Scotti and their daughter Fraser spend time at the cabin chasing fish during ice off. They also take on a side adventure looking for wild asparagus and morel mushrooms. Subsistence is a show about how one family looks to source as much of their own food from the wild as they can. In a modern age where most people are disconnected from where their food comes from they pursue wild animals, places and experiences in order to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
