She is the self-proclaimed queen of Palm Beach, known for her quick wit and her impeccable taste in fashion. Her online persona is just a small glimpse of who she really is.Born Susan Whitworth Robbins grew up in Texas before calling Palm Beach home several years ago.Her nickname, Suebelle, came from a group of friends during college.“I was Susie, but my one friend [teased] ‘Oh Mayor Lindsey wants Suebelle to teach in his schools.’ My sister heard it, she started calling me Suebelle,” she shared.Her love for fashion was inspired by her mother, but not in the way you would imagine. Suebelle tells CBS12 News she made it a point to dress up at every chance she had. And she still does!She best describes her style as Town and Country, pulling inspiration from socialites like Babe Paley.“My hair isn’t really too Palm Beach, it’s more Texas,” said Suebelle. She spent the last 20 years visiting and living in Palm Beach part-time, before eventually calling the island her home a few years ago. Her fashion got her noticed on Worth Avenue! The person behind the social media account “Classy in Palm Beach” stopped to film her and ask her about her outfit. Many fell in love with Suebelle from that one video; nearly 17 million people saw it.Since starting her own accounts, Suebelle has amassed more than 600k followers across Instagram and TikTok.Her wit, her charm, and her comedic timing have people coming back for more – her humor is inspired by her late husband, Richard. Her honesty may have people coming back for more! Dozens of viral videos later, she still doesn’t fully grasp why people follow her. Suebelle is no stranger to the camera! She's lived many lives! She’s worked as a travel agent, a school teacher, an actor, a model, and even a Playboy bunny. Even with an extensive resume, she says being an influencer at 70 has been one of the greatest joys of her life and has opened her world to new opportunities.
