This week @DesignerHomeTours we are inside designer Ken Fulk’s San Francisco based office and loft. Ken’s design firm is known for their celebrity client list, theatrical events (such as the design of Sean Parker’s wedding), two interior design books and an extensive collection of both antique and contemporary design products and collaborations. In this tour of his office, Ken also discusses some of his most interesting hotel projects; such as The Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, Texas as well as his furnishing lines with luxury Paris based fabric brand Pierre Frey. He walks us through a converted warehouse building that serves as a showroom and office for his interior design and architecture business and creative agency in the heart of San Francisco’s Design District. We also discuss his newest collaboration with New Orleans Pop Artist Ashley Longshore, who is known for her brightly colored, fun, playful and controversial modern art pieces depicting a number of iconic celebrities. A series of 12 one-of-a-kind dining chairs of iconic women in history like RBG, Michelle Obama, Nina Simone, Frida Kahlo have been custom designed and recently launched on antiques marketplace 1stdibs just in time for #internationalwomensday. This office tour is full of French and Italian antique furniture, pop art, color, pattern and vintage books and art - it’s an incredibly inspiring look inside one of the design industry’s most prolific masterminds.
