Set among ancient oak trees in Constantia, Sillery Oaks is the personal home of Julia Finnis-Bedford - founder and owner of @amazing.spaces. Once dismissed as a property with “no vision,” Julia saw what no one else could. She restored the original home, built a second alongside it, and created a sanctuary that has since become one of our most in-demand shoot locations. Taking a cue from @StudioMcGee and Shea McGee’s design philosophy, Julia chose just three defining colours and pulled them through the home’s wooden floors, soaring beams, bold black arched entryways and textured wall slats. That quiet discipline created cohesion and flow - giving the home its soft, cinematic presence. High ceilings, curved kitchen forms, natural textures and framed views: Sillery Oaks is a contemporary farmhouse with character. It’s lived in, not staged. Which is exactly why filmmakers, stylists and international brands can’t stop booking it.
