It Ate Something BAD… 💥 Shop Carnage + Harvest Fixes!

The harvest just won’t end… and neither do the breakdowns. We start by rescuing a 9520 with a locked-up engine—winching it onto a drop-deck with an 8R doing the pulling and steering hoses to snake it onto a trailer it barely fits. Then it’s an S790 with a DEF dosing pressure fault (bad pressure sensor in the dosing unit). Swap the sensor → back to combining corn. Next, an 8R 410 with no cab heat—diagnostics point to a stuck-closed water valve (temperature actuator). Fixed and warm again. On to an S780 that’s losing prime all fall and hates cold mornings. With harvest over, I build a clear fuel hose with a ball valve to physically see where the system is leaking down. Back at the shop… CARNAGE: • S680 with the rotor removed after it ate something nasty • 9530T with a failed pinion bearing, rear axle torn apart • 6115D mystery: coolant showing up in the fuel system • 8335R “locked engine” that turned out to be a seized fan drive I also show some new Matco Tools (dual-drive ratchet + socket setup). Then more field calls: a 9RX 640 blowing heat when you want A/C (another bad water valve), and a 7200 with a leaking 3-point lift cylinder—replaced it while testing my DJI Osmo Mobile 8 and neck-mount rig.
