JC Discovered Rare Opal Fossil Down Old Timer Mineshaft!

Today JC descends deep into one of the old opal mine shafts using a cable climber ladder on our claim to see what’s really going on underground. The goal? Get a better idea of what’s happening in the tunnels. Once down, spider webs everywhere, dead lizards, and even a kangaroo skeleton buried in the dark. But that didn’t stop JC. He grabbed the pick and started prospecting through the tight tunnels, finding a bit of opal colour and even uncovering a rare fossil shell! After a long climb back up (we’re definitely not using that ladder again), we wrapped up the day with a BBQ and a drink.
