For the first time, the niece of Lori Vallow testified. Melani Pawlowski took the stand in the Chad Daybell trial, telling the court what Daybell and Vallow allegedly taught regarding extreme religious beliefs. Last year, Melani was disqualified from testifying in her aunt’s trial due to listening to her ex-husband’s (Brandon Boudreaux) testimony. Lori Vallow was found guilty in May 2023 of six charges, including the murders of Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan, both of whom were her children. On July 31, Vallow was sentenced to life in prison without parole by an Idaho judge.
