Luxor, Egypt completely exceeded our expectations. After spending 17 hours in Cairo, visiting the Pyramids of Giza, Cairo Citadel, and Khan el-Khalili Market, we boarded a midnight flight from Cairo to Luxor to make the most of a short 2-day Luxor trip. With limited time, we weren’t sure how much we could see — or how much we’d enjoy such a fast-paced itinerary — but Luxor quickly became the highlight of our Egypt travel experience. In this video, we take you along as we explore Luxor in 2 days, one of the most important ancient cities in the world. We visit the Valley of the Kings, including some of the most famous royal tombs, walk through the incredible Temple of Hatshepsut, and stand in awe at Karnak Temple, home to one of the largest religious complexes ever built. We also see Luxor Temple at night, beautifully illuminated, showing a completely different side of the city. Beyond the temples, this Luxor travel vlog captures everyday life along the Nile River, including a peaceful felucca boat ride at sunset, views of hot air balloons rising over the West Bank, and time spent exploring local streets, markets, and hidden spots we never would have found on our own. What made this trip truly unforgettable was the human connection. Having a local driver guide us through Luxor allowed us to experience Egypt beyond the tourist sites — sharing stories, meals, laughter, and real moments that made this journey far more meaningful.
