In this video I will do an upgrade of my internal storage in the M4 Mac Mini Pro. This will NOT work in the M4 Mac Mini Non Pro models! Please click link below for a video on how to update Non Pro M4 Mac Mini models! So in this video I will take you through all the steps so you will be more comfortable in doing it yourself. We will disassemble and reassemble the M4 Mac Mini Pro. I will then guide you through the the DFU system restore process. I used a M1 Macbook Pro to do the DFU restore. I highly suggest you use an Apple Silicon Mac for that process although I did read comments that some Apple Intels macs will work. Please update whichever mac you choose to use to the latest MacOS before attempting the DFU system restore process. If you do not have a spare Mac to do the DFU restore then this can be done on Windows. ALL purchases from store.m4-ssd.com will come with a free DFU kit which allows you to do the DFU restore on Windows. Please click link below for a step by step guide! The kit purchased by you will have tools in it but I highly suggest using an iFixit kit to avoid any potential ripping of threads in the screw due to using low quality bits. Please remember that this ssd has a 1 year warranty provided by the company. Please Be Advised: This will terminate all data on your M4 Mac Mini Pro So you should backup all data via Time Machine before doing this install and you can then restore your data via Time Machine during MacOs set up process as seen in video.
