You can get those in a shop as well but they are quite expensive considering you need a lot of those for all sorts of different woodworking projects. I decided to make a knob jig, be able to make different types of knobs (round knobs, star knobs), and save money on those. I also wanted to make tiny/small knobs since they are more practical and you can use them for a wider range of projects. I considered this while designing the knob jig - free plans of the jig are available.
