About

G'day everyone. Here on the Artisan Makes channel I create home machine shop videos. With a small workshop and modest equipment, I will show that almost anything can be made with an import lathe, and a small milling machine. I hope you learn something new and enjoy your time here. Video Description

G'day everyone, let's get the jack plane project finished. This video is a few weeks delayed so I wanted to get it finished for the Easter weekend, when I had plans to build a few pieces of furniture. You'll get to see some of that being made in this video, notably a CD stand. I never got rid of a lot of my CDs like a lot of people did, and I need a place to put them. But first the plane. It needs the handles made and the screws to be replaced and sanded down. I will also have a section at the end to determine any areas that need to be touched up. And since it is my first attempt at a jack plane, it will need some follow up. I hope you enjoy the video. #machining #diy Making a CD stand Making a Jack Plane Making a Hand plane Timestamps 0:00 - Intro 0:31 - Making The Handles 6:19 - Replacing the Screws and Finishing The frame 10:40 - Testing The Plane 12:08 - A Side Project To test The Plane 14:48 - Making A CD Stand/Tower 21:35 - Fixing What I Did Wrong
