Happy Switch 2 Day everyone! I actually went to the store today early at 8am to get the Switch 2 and it was a great experience. It was the first time I went and got a console on launch day and when I arrived there was already 1 other person waiting. In total there were around 14-15 people waiting when the store opened and everyone managed to buy a Switch 2 which was awesome. I got it with Mario Kart World and have been enjoying that all day long. In anticipation to the Switch 2 launch I have been replaying all the other Mario Karts and I was delighted to have all these new gameplay mechanics present in this latest version. Mario Kart World offers new tracks remixed with old classics and you travel in between the tracks during each race. It feels like you are going on a journey and the overal vibe is that of a roadtrip or vacation. The game is just so colorful and atmospheric with catchy tunes playing in the background. There is a huge roster of characters to choose from and so many things to unlock. There are secrets to find, shortcuts to discover and plenty of game modes to master. This video will focus on the classic Grand Prix mode, though in the future I definitely also want to do something with the awesome Free Roam mode. The addition of 24 racers on the track also completes the chaos and always put a smile on my face when I saw all the characters fight for the first position.
