►The Mercedes E63 AMG uses a filter in its power steering system to keep it clean of any contaminants that might kill the pump. You will need to service the power steering filter around every 70,000 miles to ensure it's healthy and reliable. Skipping out on the service can lead to restrictions in fluid flow from a clogged filter. That can result in spotty steering assistance and a ruined power steering pump. The latter is not cheap but replacing the filter is.
