Ten years ago, on March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 vanished from radar screens, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions and speculation. The Boeing 777, carrying 239 passengers and crew, was enroute from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it disappeared without a trace. Despite extensive multinational search efforts in the Southern Indian Ocean, where the plane is believed to have crashed, no bodies or wreckage have ever been found. Now, as the Malaysian government considers launching a new search for MH370, the mystery surrounding the missing plane continues to captivate the world. Numerous theories have been proposed over the years to explain the disappearance of MH370, ranging from mechanical failures to terrorist hijackings, to murder-suicide plots. One theory suggests that the 53-year-old captain of the plane, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, purposefully crashed the aircraft after making a U-turn across Malaysia.
