Minnesota Vikings get the *DUB* in Dallas | Week 15 SNF Highlights

We're baaaaaack. And do my eyes deceive me? BACK-TO-BACK wins? Fresh off of BLANKING the Commies (sorry, lost my audio on that one, no video last week), our beloved Minnesota Vikings—lead by our is-he-good-or-does-he-suck, fresh-faced, baby quarterback Jonathan James "Nine" McCarthy—got consecutive wins for the first time this season with a 34-26 victory over the all-offense/no-defense Dallas Cowboys, on the road, and in the presence of the reanimated corpse of Jerry Jones. That was sweet. Thank god Cooper Rush wasn't there to belt our asses this time. Instead, it was Dak Prescott trying to outduel Brian Flores. He almost succeeded, but the Purple bent but didn't break, forcing the game onto the leg of vaunted Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who, by some miracle, couldn't hit the broad side of AT&T Stadium on Sunday night, and cost Dallas six points on two crucial missed field goals. KARMA FOR A SNEAKY-ASS FAKE FG on your first drive, Dallas. That first Cowboys touchdown was made possible by a J.J. McCarthy tipped interception to big boy Quinnen Williams. Goddamn with the tipped passes, Nine. Sheesh. The Vikings quickly punted again, and it looked early like the Cowboys, back at home where they had just beaten the Chiefs and Eagles, were going to run away with things from the gun. BUT NAY. Minnesota took advantage of a short field on its second drive, and KOC and J.J. marched to the Cowboys' 20 yard line on a nifty screen to Aaron Jones (dirty horse-collar tackle, too), followed by a freaking ROCKET to Jalen Nailor, who had to be resuscitated by Jordan Addison after holding on for a TD catch. Flores's vaunted DEF couldn't really stop the Dallas rushing attack, and the Cowboys answered with another touchdown, but McCarthy hit Addison for a DEEP 58-yard strike (c'mon, can't underthrow that, J.J.), which set up the SNEAKIEST of designed QB runs from the Dallas one—McCarthy griddy'd in for six, untouched. KOC was irked, but tie game. Will the Thrill Reichard and Aubrey exchanged FGs before the half, and the game was knotted at 17. The Vikings' bendy defense forced two more Aubrey field goals to open the third, but once again (and finally showing second-half chutzpah) J.J. McCarthy led a scoring drive. First with a 29-yard laser to Hockenson over the middle, then with a 23-yarder to Nailor before C.J. Ham punched it in from the one. Our stud, future-gold-jacket Jettas had a rough series, letting a sure-fire TD slip through his fingers, but luckily it didn't matter. 24-23 good guys. Brandon Aubrey, clearly in his own head, missed a 59-yarder to open the fourth quarter, and Minnesota capitalized on the short field once again, finding his TEs Hockenson and Oliver for two 18-yard snags before once again hitting Nailor for a four-yard TD to go up eight. From there the Purple defense put Dallas to sleep, forcing a turnover on downs and allowing Will Reichard to drill a 53-yard field goal to put the game away. Listen, I'm all for tanking—could you imagine putting Caleb Downs or Jeremyah Love on this squad in 2026? But these wins are fun, and our young QB seems to be showing signs of growth. Plus, we play the New York Giants in three days (God bless the NFC East, am I right?), so three wins in a row could be a-comin' AND THEN we get a chance to bounce another NFC foe out the playoffs on Christmas Day (I freaking hate Jared Goff, man), so lets play the part of the Grinch and finish this season strong.
