Don't Overdose On Learning Techniques: Many students fall into the trap of spending more time trying to experiment with all different types of study techniques so that they can find the "best" one. The thing is, there is no such thing as the "best" study technique. This is like when it comes to building a house - there is no single "best" tool. You can't just build a house with just a really good screwdriver – no, you need a whole set of tools. And so when it comes to learning, you can't just have "one tool"; you need an entire toolkit. And this toolkit is your learning system (and you can assess your learning system with the links above) 15. Prioritize The Pareto Principle: The 80/20 rule states that 80% of results come from 20% of actions. But it also implies that 80% of your actions only bring about 20% of results (meaning the majority of actions you take are likely to be a waste of time). And so when it comes to studying, make sure you are focusing on the most high-yield tasks that bring you the most results. E.g.
