Scientist Charley Crisafulli was drawn to log-covered Spirit Lake, where nutrient rich waters fueled an unusually fast resurgence in fish, plant life and amphibians. It’s a phenomenon that continues to fascinate scientists everywhere. Originally broadcast in 2008.
