Neglected Craftsman Snow Blower - Can it be Saved?

I repair neglected power equipment. This channel was started because I found a lack of good content regarding portable generator repair and wanted to document some of the things I came across to help others dealing with similar issues. These videos are detailed and long, but would rather leave the details in to help those who are learning. Do what I do at your own risk. Generator voltages are lethal. Small engines can cause serious injury. Gasoline is explosive and moving parts can cause serious injury. Always use power equipment outside. This is not an instructional video but meant for entertainment. I am not a trained small engine professional or certified in generator repair. Video Description
I recently sold the Troy-Bilt snow blower I fixed last year. When dropping it off, the buyer asked if I knew how he could dispose of his old Craftsman Snow Blower. I offered to take it off his hands, but am now questioning my decision. This blower is in really bad condition. Can we fix it? Should we? Harbor Freight changed the recipe. The bottle previously stated "NON-CORROSIVE". Now it says "CORROSIVE", "do not user on Aluminum". It now damages most carburetors. Recently I have been using Simple Green PRO HD with good results. #Craftsman #SnowBlowerRepair #SmallEngineRepair #SmallEngine #DIY #Fixed #Troubleshooting #HowTo Broken Bolt, Broken Cable, Broken Shear PIN, Busted Belly Pan, Carb Clean, Carburetor Clean, Craftsman Snowblower, Electric Start Not Working, Fixed, Governor Spring Replacement, Grease, How To, How to Fix Generator, How-To, Ignition Switch Replacement, Mouse House, Neglected, Old Fuel, Paint, Repair, Rusted, Rusty, Small Engine Repair, Small Engine, Snow Blower, Snowblower, Speed Adjustment, Stuck Recoil, Surging, Trashed, Troubleshooting, Will Not Shut Off, Worn Out Scraper 00:00 Intro 03:01 Checking the Vitals 03:49 First Start Attempt 05:39 Starter Recoil Repair 08:27 First Start 10:29 Drive System Access 13:21 Mouse House Damage 14:24 Cleanup 17:23 Drive System Test 19:41 Getting Access to the Carburetor 27:37 Carburetor Removal 28:47 Carburetor Clean 37:16 Carburetor Install/Test 40:25 Finding the New Noise 43:17 Shear Pin 44:31 Draining the Tank 45:29 Ignition Switch Repair 52:02 Electric Start Troubleshooting 57:06 Try to Improve on It 1:05:44 Governor Repairs 1:11:22 Putting it Back Together 1:13:33 Broken Bolt 1:18:10 Oil Change 1:19:59 Exhaust and Carburetor 1:23:00 Setting the Max Engine Speed 1:24:36 Front Cover Install 1:29:52 Electric Start Repair 1:35:31 Auger and Drive Cable Repair 1:50:33 Belt Cover 1:50:54 Belly Pan 1:51:35 Scraper Bar Replacement 1:56:43 System Test 1:58:31 Snow Test 1:59:33 Conclusion
