I also share substitutions and shortcuts—so whether you’re cooking from scratch or using store-bought meatballs, you’ll still end up with incredible flavor. ✨ Why you’ll love this recipe: • Ultra-tender, juicy meatballs • Rich, savory cream gravy sauce • Easy, beginner-friendly steps • Perfect for meal prep and freezing • Comfort food the whole family will love Ingredients 🧀 For the meatballs : - Ground beef: 1 1/4 lb, 570 g (80% lean) - Olive oil : 2 tbsp, divided - Yellow onion: 1/2 cup, finely diced - Garlic: 2 cloves, minced - Panko breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup - Grated Parmesan: 1/4 cup - One large egg - Milk : 1/3 cup - Salt : 1 tsp - Oregano, ground nutmeg, allspice and black pepper: 1/4 tsp of EACH Sauce: - Butter : 3 tbsp - Flour : 3 tbsp - Beef broth: 2 cups - Chicken bouillon: 1 cube - Worcestershire sauce: 2 tsp - Mustard powder ( can sub Dijon mustard): 1 tsp - Dried parsley: 1 tsp - Sour cream: 1/2 cup, at room temperature - Fresh parsley for garnishing Instructions 👩‍🍳 0:00 Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat and cook diced onion and garlic until they’re soft and turn golden, then set aside. 1:07 In a bowl whisk the egg, then add the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, cooked onion and garlic, spices and mix well. 2:12 Add in the meat and mix gently with your hands until combined ( don’t overwork the mixture) Roll into 1 1/2 inch meatballs. In a bowl mix the sour cream with some of the warm sauce, then add to the pan and mix well. Return the meatballs along with any juices from the plate and spoon the sauce over them.
