Video Description
Nourish Up, a Charlotte nonprofit that works to fight food insecurity has received the largest gift in its history from the David and Nicole Tepper Foundation. The $3 million gift will go towards Nourish Up's $23 million campaign to launch the organization's "Hunger Hub." The Hunger Hub is a 90,000-square-foot facility in Charlotte that is designed to provide resources for those experiencing food and nutrition insecurity. "Dave and I are proud to support Nourish Up in its mission to eradicate food insecurity in Mecklenburg County,” Nicole Tepper said. “Nourish Up’s vital work has supported hundreds of thousands of people and families and continues to uplift our community as a whole. We are thrilled to support the organization and its new Hunger Hub as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our neighbors have access to healthy meals and basic needs.” Since 2018, the David and Nicole Tepper Foundation has given over $6.4 million to food banks.
