Born in Beijing, China; his family then soon moved to the United States, and then to Sweden, where he grew up. Carl Pei dropped out of college in 2011 to work full-time in the Chinese smartphone industry. The massive turning point happened when he co-founded OnePlus and Pete Lau, in 2013 and was the director of OnePlus Global.
