Ever since I heard about the Shimano CUES components I've wanted to buy the cheapest 1 x 9 speed parts and convert an older mountain bike into an upright, general purpose, all around town, comfort bike for regular people. It's just so much easier to use one shifter to access the same wide range of gears, so why not. So, I FINALLY got my hands on some parts and snagged a perfect candidate from the local bike charity and got to work. I really stuggled quite a bit along the way, but the end result was fantastic!
