In this video, I am up in the mountains of North Wales having just spent the night in my broken tent during a snow storm. I head down to a lower altitude to meet with a friend at Dulyn Bothy - a mountain refuge hut where we spend the night sheltered from the biting cold and snow and enjoy a warm fire, a few drinks and great company. The Bothy at Dulyn reservoir is one of many owned and maintained by the Mountain Bothies Association. They are free to use and accommodate several people, offering shelter from the weather in remote mountainous regions. They are basic, but usually have bunks of some description, simple furniture, a place to prepare food and some have a fire place to warm up. You can join the Mountain Bothies Association for an annual fee that helps fund the maintenance of these fantastic resources. I hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching.
