2025年8月1日建军节官方发布的《攻坚》短片包含了史无前例的大量094核潜艇的航行、装弹与水下发射镜头。加之几个月前中国船舶集团渤海造船公司招标14米圆形装配平台的传言，这意味着096核潜艇的耐压壳直径可能接近14米，而该平台可能为096耐压壳体的总段装配与精调工装。14米直径耐压壳目前全球没有实用纪录，哪怕是在去掉工程余量后，只有13米左右，也足以从根本上改变国产战略核潜艇的生态，具备和美国并肩站在第一梯队的基础条件。而根据五角大厦2024年中国军力报告，096型可能于2030年前后服役，搭载16枚或以上巨浪3导弹，其配备全电推进、无轴泵喷推进器、低噪音技术与先进感测系统等，性能指标全面超越前代潜舰。美国长期以来依赖核优势与侦测技术对中国形成战略压力，但中国海基核力量的成熟与升级将打破美国以核压制维持亚洲主导权的战略逻辑。
