We’re Jennifer & Darryle two Canadians (plus our 15-year-old Maltese!) who moved to Mexico in 2021 and have been traveling the country ever since. 🇲🇽 Authentic Puerto Morelos: Market Vibes & The Best Birria! Come along as we escape the tourist track and head over to the Colonia side of Puerto Morelos! We met up with some friends visiting from Canada to dive into the local culture at the town market. It was a hot one, but the energy was incredible. We were blown away by the variety of stalls and how many locals rely on this spot for their daily shopping. We weren’t looking for anything specific, but you know us—we can’t resist a good food find! 🌮 The Main Event: Birria Heaven We stumbled upon a stall serving up legendary Birria. It was exactly what we were craving: loaded with tender meat and melty cheese, served with a rich, hearty bowl of consommé for that perfect soak. It definitely lived up to the hype! 🚁 Neo Takes Flight While waiting for our food, I decided to take the Neo drone up for a quick flight. There were so many kids running around enjoying the day, and watching them get excited and chase the drone back and forth was easily the highlight of the afternoon! We wrapped up the day by giving our friends a lift back to their rental with their market treasures before heading home to beat the heat and relax.
