Die Kombination aus Desertionen und hohen Verlusten führt zu drastischen Maßnahmen der Rekrutierungsbehörden. Viele Männer verweigern den Dienst, da der Krieg im Osten als „Fleischwolf“ gilt. Dadurch kommt es zunehmend zu gewaltsamen Einziehungen, der sogenannten Busificatia, bei der Männer in Minibusse gesteckt und direkt zur Mobilmachung gebracht werden.
