Robotic Airsoft Turret: AI Home Security for Airrack and Tyler Blanchard– Full Build & Demo

What happens when a YouTuber asks you to build a robotic airsoft turret for home security... and gives you just FIVE days to pull it off? Well, you cancel your sleep schedule, burn through filament, and pray to the engineering gods. This is the story of how I designed and built an automated AI sentry system (yes, I know what the acronym spells) for Airrack, thanks to Tyler Blanchard roping me into one of my craziest projects yet. Armed with limited Python knowledge, OpenCV, an Arduino, and a caffeine addiction, I had to figure out: How to get a turret to track people using computer vision. How to control heavy-duty servos strong enough to swing an airsoft rifle. How to recover when 3D printing catastrophically failed days before deadline. How to ship this monster without bankrupting myself (spoiler: almost didn’t). This video covers the full chaotic journey—from mechanical design and coding nightmares to last-minute hardware hacks with extruded aluminum and a Lazy Susan. Oh, and of course, the part where it actually worked… barely.
