Looking for a way to eat healthier? New Stainless Steel Ham Maker from Madax is so simple to use but yet can create a delicious rolled ham in the comfort of your own kitchen. Best of all anyone can use the Ham Maker to make a delicious rolled ham that can be sliced to make amazing ham sandwiches and cold cut trays. We made a rolled ham but don't stop there and experiment with the Ham Maker to create any cold cuts that fits your taste buds and your needs. In this recipe we did not use any cure to keep our meat nice and pink as you would expect in a rolled ham for cold cuts. We simply followed the recipe and recommended cooking temperature & time and presto, the Ham Maker from Madax did the rest and we created a beautiful rolled ham. This was experimental for us so it was our first try using this incredible non expensive gadget and boy were we ever impressed. From now on we are going to use this Ham Maker to create delicious cold cut recipes that will impress anyone. This is the link to Amazon where we got the Madax Ham Maker: https://amzn.to/2WSI0g5 Here is the recipe we used for this video: Ingredients 2 Lbs Pork Shoulder Roast (next time we will use a leaner cut of meat) 3 tsp salt. 1-1/4 tsp celery powder 1-1/2 tsp paprika 3/4 tsp black pepper 1-1/2 tsp honey 1/2 cup water 1-1/2 tsp Gelatin Powder. We uses Knox Gelatin Original Directions Cube all of your meat into 1" chunks and run 2/3 of it into a meat grinder using the cutting plate size of you choice leaving the rest in 1" cubes. Once done grinding put all of the meat together (chunks and ground meat in a bowl. Add all of the ingredients and spices to meat and mix very well. Once mixing is completed stuff all of the meat (2lbs) into the ham maker packing it well as you're putting it in. Place cover plate equipped with spring on top of your meat (spring facing up) Close cover by pressing on the spring and locking in place by twisting cover clockwise. Place in refrigerator for 48 hours (could do 24 but since there is no cure would recommend 48 hours). After 48 hours insert Ham Maker in 185ºF hot water on the stove making sure that there is enough water to be at least in line with the meat stuffed inside the Ham Maker. (we recommend slightly over the meat line) The 185ºF water temperature has to be maintained throughout the cooking process. Insert the included temperature gauge in hole located on the top cover of the ham maker. Make sure it is inserted all the way in. (this will place the temperature gauge in the centre of the rolled ham. Leave in water on stove for 2 hours or until internal temperature of the ham has reached 165ºF Once temperature has been reached remove the ham maker from the water and insert in a ice cold bath for a couple of hours. After the 2 hour cool down period, place your ham maker in the fridge and leave in there for a couple more hours or even overnight. After the refrigeration period has completed remove from fridge and run the barrel of the Ham Maker under hot water to release ham from the barrel. Remove cover and remove ham from the Ham Maker Slice meat to your desired thickness and ENJOY!!!
