Video Description
Peter Grieve, co-founder of the Historic Aero Engine group, continues the rebuild of his Merlin MkXX aero engine originally from a Halifax bomber. Built at the Rolls-Royce engine factory at Hillington, Glasgow Scotland, it was equipped with a three-bladed Rotol constant speed propeller with wooden blades. Manufactured in early 1941, it represented the earliest version of Merlin for the Halifax bomber, rated at 1,240 hp. https://www.facebook.com/historicaeroengines Contact: [email protected] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxpnyJDNTGM +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Historic Aero Engine group comprises aero engine enthusiasts from a variety of engineering and technical backgrounds, who share a common interest in researching, restoring, and preserving our aero engine heritage.
