Small Problem, HUGE Repair — Intake Valve Failure on a 9.0L

Video Description

We start off with a look at the intake valve failure on the 9.0L engine out of the S670 combine. Before this engine can go back into the machine, I dig into replacing the water pump and the leaking main engine gear case input shaft seal. Once that’s handled, we shift gears while waiting on the cylinder head to return from the machine shop. Next up is an X9 1000 clean grain auger repair back at the shop. And then the next morning… it’s time to brave the cold. I throw on the gear and head out to a Bron 585 tile plow throwing DEF system faults. Quick diagnostics lead me straight to a failed DEF line that was preventing the dosing unit from priming. Swap the line, verify system function, and head back to the shop. By the time I get back, the cylinder head for the 9.0L is finally here! It’s time to get this thing installed and take you through the grueling process of torquing all those head bolts.
