How do the outdoor homeless survive the winter in America's coldest city? That's the question Weather Films, the documentary film unit of the Weather Channel's website, Weather.com, asked in January 2014. We sent a crew to find out. We discovered a group of people who brave punishing cold, random violence, their own substance abuse problems, and the efforts of outreach workers in the pursuit of living as they want to -- outside, beyond the reach of shelters and law enforcement. There's no narrator in this film -- our goal was to show the humanity and complexity of the men and women living without homes to by letting them speak for themselves.
