What began as a single armored Camaro running supplies into Bosnia quickly became something far more dangerous. Meyer memorized back roads, learned enemy patterns, and modified his vehicle to survive ambushes, mines, and sniper fire. Alone, often at night, he ran routes no one else would touch—delivering food, medical aid, and evacuation for civilians who had been written off as unreachable. As the war intensified, so did the risk. Snipers targeted his car. Artillery bracketed his routes. Armed militias hunted him after realizing one man was undoing their siege tactics. On one run, a rifle round punched through his armor and struck his helmet. He survived—and drove again the next night. Locals began calling him “God’s Rambo,” not as a joke, but because his survival defied every reasonable expectation. By the end of the conflict, Meyer had completed hundreds of solo humanitarian runs, saving thousands of lives without backing, pay, or protection.
