A1C test The A1C test is also called the glycated hemoglobin, glycosylated hemoglobin, hemoglobin A1C or HbA1c test. It is a simple blood test that measures your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. 2. GFR test A glomerular filtration rate (GFR) test is a blood test that checks how well your kidneys are working. 3. AST/ALT ALT stands for alanine transaminase, which is another type of liver enzyme. If you have high levels of AST and/or ALT, it may mean that you have some type of liver damage. You may also have an AST test as part of a group of liver function tests that measure ALT, and other enzymes, proteins, and substances in the liver 4. Ferritin test The ferritin blood test measures the level of ferritin in the blood. Ferritin is a protein inside your cells that stores iron. It allows your body to use the iron when it needs it. A ferritin test indirectly measures the amount of iron in your blood. 5. TPO test A TPO test detects antibodies against TPO in the blood. If you've been diagnosed with thyroid disease, your doctor may suggest a TPO antibody test and other thyroid tests to help find the cause. 6. Vitamin D A vitamin D test is used to screen for low levels of vitamin D in your blood so you can treat it with supplements before it causes health problems. 7. CRP Test A c-reactive protein test checks for inflammation in the body. Inflammation can be caused by infection, injury, or chronic disease. 8. Lipid Panel A lipid panel is a common blood test that healthcare providers use to monitor and screen for your risk of cardiovascular disease. The panel includes three measurements of your cholesterol levels and a measurement of your triglycerides. 9. Cortisol test A cortisol test measures the level of cortisol in your body.
