There’s this almost primal sense that something isn’t quite right, but at the same time, your brain is telling you that it’s probably nothing. A far worse feeling, though, is the fear of realizing that you were actually being watched. In the months preceding April 1922, a family felt exactly that, and what followed would become one of the most horrifying events in German History.
