From the first great schism, exar kuns sith wars to the mandalorian wars initiated by Vitiate, the Jedi civil war with Darth Revan and Darth Malak which is the story laid out in Kotor, the dark wars from Kotor 2, the Great galactic War and the eternal empire from TOR all culminating in the Rule of 2 by Darth Bane. With the Old Republic out of the way, we'll cover how the Sith finally were able to take over leading to the rise of Palpatine and the Galactic Civil war resulting in the Fall of the Empire. Grand Admiral thrawn coming in and trying to revive the Empire and then Palpatine himself in his Dark Empire. With the remnants of Palpatine defeated, the Vuuzhon Vong, intergalactic invaders lay waste to the Galaxy and completely oblilerate it. Once that story is over there's also the Second Galactic civil war with Darth Caedus and finally the Sith Imperial War, where Darth Krayt is a new and rising threat to the galaxy once again.
