Video Description

Many of the greatest surfers to have never won world titles is not to any lack of greatness on their behalf,as much as the dominance of surfers who defined eras of competitive surfing like Mark Richards, Margo Oberg, Tom Curren, Kelly Slater and Stephanie Gilmore and Carissa Moore, taking dozens of year end overall trophies off of the table. Others have fallen to the temptations of women and the late-night party scene around the tour, as Taj Burrow describes it: "Everywhere we go it's the biggest night of the year there." Others have fallen victim to questionable situations either planned or by coincidence that prevented their taking the crown. Regardless of why, these surfers' names always come up in the "never to have won a world title" conversation, due to multiple runner up finishes, amount of tour wins or just freakish surfing ability.
