Bu belgesel, Afyonkarahisar Şuhut Dadak Yaylası’nda geçen zamana direnmiş bir hayatın hikâyesi. Pala Dayı ve gardaşları, çok erken yaşta kaybettikleri babalarından sonra onun izinden yürümeyi seçti. Sadece sözle değil… Kıyafetleriyle, saçlarıyla, duruşlarıyla, ahlaklarıyla. 1970’lerdeki Anadolu insanı nasılsa, bugün de öyle yaşıyorlar. Bulundukları yaylada su yok. Ama vazgeçmek de yok. Yıllardır, büyük bir emekle, sabırla ve inatla toprağın altındaki suyu arıyorlar. Çobanlık yapıyorlar. Kangal köpekleriyle sürülerini koruyorlar. Çocuklarını ve kardeşlerini eski Anadolu kültürüne göre, tertemiz bir ahlakla yetiştiriyorlar.
