On a summer's morning, a nine year old girl, her seven year old sister and four year old brother leaves their family home to head to the beach. It's too hot to walk, so they take a five minute bus ride there on their own, which wouldn't happen today. But in 1966, Australia. That wasn't unusual. After that day, though, everything changed. Jane, Ana and Grant made it to the beach, but they never made it home. No one has ever been arrested. No bodies have ever been found. The Beaumont children simply disappeared. The tragedy for the Beaumont family broke the hearts of millions, near and far. It was a story which made world headlines. January 26th Australia Day 1966. The day that changed a nation forever. And despite the passage of time, the investigations to try to solve this case have never stopped. In February 2025, 59 years after the children vanished, a new search for their remains was launched.
