He’s had the most adaptations out of the bunch, with varying degrees of success, which prompted me to ask the question: what are the most impactful versions of the Caped Crusader over the decades? In a hypothetical Mount Rushmore, who would be among the four that shaped Batman’s popularity and cultural influence? The multitude of beloved adaptations includes the 1966 show, the Batman: Arkham series, and the DCAU, which brought forth definitive versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and the rest of the Justice League. The Dark Knight trilogy revolutionized the superhero movie genre, earning Academy Award-level praise.
