Rocket League is a very family friendly game all around, but still, there have been moments in the game's history where the community has gone up in flames over disagreements. One of which is the divisive tactic of bumps and demolitions (demos) in competitive Rocket League. And that's the wonderful, cinematic story we're be covering in this video. It's a toy-car soccer video game! But just dig a little deeper and you'll find some apparent controversies surrounding the game, it's pro players, and certain tactics used in the game. In this video, I tell the story of Rocket League's most controversial tactic: Demolitions. Ever since the dawn of Rocket League, players have always been salty about player who bump and demo too much. Many have considered it cheep or dirty play, with some even telling Psyonix to remove demos or make changes to them that make them less viable in competitive play. Over the years, many professional players even hopped on board with this idea too. Some pro players such as Comm, Retals, and Kofyr have even adopted the physical game (bumps and demos) as a huge cornerstone of their playstyle, and they've definitely been in the middle of some controversies surrounding it over the years.
