I’ve been waiting to make this video for a couple of years and while I have traveled to Jasper recently, I wanted to spend more than just a day in the park so that I could visit all of the major attractions and truly bring a video worthy of this incredible location. During my last trip, I spent many days exploring the park and this video is from that time in the park. My first visit to Jasper National Park was in 1981. I remember it well and thinking how different it was to Banff. It wasn't as commercial and it wasn’t as busy. The same is still true today. However, even though it is not nearly as busy as Banff it is still one of Canada’s most popular travel destinations (about 2.5 million people visit the park every year). As a result, planning is a must if you wish to make the most out of your visit to Jasper. And, this is what I recommended to everyone I met when I worked with the tourist board in Alberta.
