Let me take you to Yeongdong County in Chungcheongbuk-do Province, home of the World Traditional Music and Arts Expo. This is Korea’s very first festival dedicated to traditional Korean music (gugak). I delve into what Gugak is all about and why it remains relevant today. I didn't know much about it, until I found gugak fusion bands like SsingSsing and Leenalchi and fell in love. I also use the chance to explore the county itself and its beauty. As you may know, I am the guy who has been exploring every single neighborhood in Seoul and I still love doing that. But it feels so good to step outside the city once in a while. So this time it is not a neighborhood but a whole county.
