The band was formed after the dissolution of White and Lowe’s previous band, Bleeding Oath. Novena's debut EP, "Secondary Genesis," was released in June 2016, and their debut live performance was at UK Tech-Metal Fest in 2016. The band's music is characterized by emotional storytelling, rich harmony, aggressive riffs, and subtle melody. Novena's touring schedule is currently quiet as they work on new music.
