Speaking from his Lagos residence, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sparked an online debate after advising Nigerians to celebrate the festive Christmas season without alcohol. In another development, a new report found that the United States has been conducting intelligence-gathering surveillance flights over Nigeria since late November after President Donald Trump's warning of military intervention over alleged Christian persecutions. It comes as the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, announced that recent diplomatic tensions between both countries have been resolved. Meanwhile, Idris also announced that any armed group that kidnaps children, attacks farmers, or terrorises communities will now be classified as a terrorist organisation.
