Naseer Shamma and the Peacebuilders perform "Tomorrow's More Beautiful at the historic citadel of Erbil exclusively sponsored by RUDAW. Shamma comes to Erbil with a set of compositions originally composed specifically for the oud instrument, carefully orchestrated for this mid size orchestra made up of renowned soloists from around the world. Naseer Shamma has become renowned for his efforts in globalising the oud instrument and spreading its traditions while also encompassing a modest approach to allow the oud to mingle with different styles of music. This concert and many others are all part of a wider effort to globalise the oud and award the 2350BC age instrument a place on the world's stage.
