The September 2025 Inglenook Classic car meet near St Helens saw the Car Of The Year award go to a wonderful Triumph Herald 1200 convertible. In today's Old Classic Car video I have a look around this great old survivor - but only after checking out an immaculate, Welsh-registered, Triumph Herald 1200 saloon that was also in attendance on this somewhat overcast Saturday morning. It's not all that common to see one immaculate early Herald 1200, but to see a pair in matching shades of pale blue was a definite highlight of our morning. The poor weather did result in a smaller turnout of classic cars than usual, but there were still some gems to be found and I also have a quick walk around the other exhibited cars (no Triumph Herald 13/60 or 12/50 I'm afraid). The Inglenook Classic event takes place on certain Saturdays throughout the year, and at each a Car Of The Day is nominated by judges. This selection of classic cars then goes forward for final judging at the last show of the season, when the overall Car Of The Year is decided upon.
