It had drivers baked into Windows and Mac (or pulled from Windows Update?); I would NOT recommend installing any CD that is included! Although they look identical, they are made by many sellers in China and not necessarily the same. Some people don't feel comfortable plugging in no-name USB devices made in China into their computers, which I understand, which is why I also included the suggested UGREEN which would be considered more reputable. The UGREEN is also USB 3.0, and likely is also using better processors for much better performance and lower latency. If you happen to use the UGREEN, please comment below how it compares to the "El-Cheapo" one that I used as far as latency.
