Video Description

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Puri during an event said that while some countries like the U.S. are going to back to "drill baby drill", which is a reference to the Trump government advocating for increased domestic oil and natural gas production instead of moving to greener fuels, energy transition is here to stay for India. The main reason for this, is that it'll help India be more self-dependent in terms of energy. The minister pointed out that India spends a huge amount to import oil currently, and a switch to cleaner fuels like LNG (which he says is going to get cheaper for India) and green fuels will help India become more self-reliant.
